About Lauri Stricker
Join Lauri at the Body Mind Spirit Conference in Santa Clara on April 18th as she presents a workshop on the Pilates Chair for Athletes.
I am a PMA Certified Pilates Instructor. In addition, I am the author of the book, Pilates for the Outdoor Athlete, and the producer of the DVD, Pilates with your Baby. I have an MBA from the University of Denver. I have always dreamed of creating a business that would positively impact the lives of other people. The Evergreen Studio is my vision. After years as a Marketing Professional, I left my career and spent two years training before receiving my certification from Pilates of Boulder. I have practiced Pilates since 2001 and have studied with several master teachers. I completed the Masters Program at the Pilates Center in Boulder, Colorado in March of 2011. My mission for the Evergreen Studio is simple: to maintain the integrity and excellence of Joseph Pilates' Method and to facilitate greater health and well-being in my clients. I have a long term interest in developing relationships with my clients and helping them in their pursuit of health and happiness.
My Approach
By clarifying your goals and creating a plan for success, I coach my clients to improve their strength & flexibility, and their overall self-image and well-being. I guide each client, giving precise verbal and tactile cues to insure optimal alignment, proper breathing, and safe and efficient movement. In addition, I help clients to consider their day to day activities and how they may enhance or diminish overall health. Through private, duet and group sessions, we will work together to realize your vision.

Maya Pingle
Maya Pingle, a native of Chicago who was also raised in India, began Pilates at the age of 12 through her ballet coach who was trained under Romana Kryzanowska. Maya performed professionally with ballet, modern and jazz companies, always dancing through her injuries and succeeding until a car accident in 1999. She returned to Pilates for rehabilitation after being told dance would be difficult in the future. Within six months, she began performing again, stronger that before and this time dancing with the Radio City Rockettes. Eight seasons later, Maya continues with Radio City as a dance captain and assistant choreographer. Maya's passion for Pilates lead her to attend and graduate from The Pilates Center in Boulder, Colorado. There she found the true meaning behind body, mind and spirit. Maya uses Pilates in her own dance movement, instruction and choreography, and draws upon her love of movement when teaching her clients. Maya has a bachelor of science from Indiana University in Ballet/Performance and Broadcast Journalism. She has been seen in numerous commercials and in a debut series on the WB.

She continued a personal practice through college and into her adult life. Knowing that somewhere along her journey she wanted to become an instructor herself, she looked into various places and methods to learn. Currently Nicole is studying and practicing classical Pilates with The Pilates Center in Boulder. Patti Mulvihill
A ballet major at the University of Utah in 1981, Patti endured a horrific car accident that gave her, among other things, a broken back, 3 months in a body cast, 5 fused vertebrae, and a new major – recreational therapy. Two years after the accident she went to her first Pilates class. Already very active as a dancer, runner, hiker, biker, aerobics junkie of the 80's and 90's, telemark skier, and river runner, Pilates was one among many physical pursuits. After graduating, Patti was the executive director of a non-profit organization providing river rafting, cross country skiing and climbing programs for people with disabilities and special needs. In 1993, she earned her master's degree in social work and worked as a hospice social worker. Following two knee surgeries, and 22 years after that first class, Patti once again took up Pilates. And since that return she has personally experienced the remarkable changes that practice brings. A recent graduate of the Pilates Center in Boulder she considers herself in the best shape of her life. Because of her own journey of injury and recovery Patti has tremendous belief in people's ability to heal and move more gracefully, with more strength, flexibility, alignment and balance, into their 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's.

April Ingham
A native to Evergreen, Colorado, April Ingham is passionate about the outdoors and all it has to offer for those who are physically active. Participating in sports her entire life; from skiing, basketball, tennis and hiking in her youth to triathlons in adulthood, April has an affinity for athleticism, and the happiness it brings to our lives.
During her years of triathlon training and long distance cycling, April discovered Pilates as a means of cross training. After two years of Pilates, she discovered how the practice dramatically improved her ability to not only ride and run longer distances, but to also recover more quickly without low back and general muscle fatigue. Pilates has changed her life and body in ways that are vastly different, yet complimentary to endurance and strength training workouts. This is where her enthusiasm for sharing her experience with those who are passionate about their own health and longevity begins. April entered The Pilates Center Teacher Training Program in 2009 and will graduate in the summer of 2010. Upon graduating, April will plan to continue her studies in the field of health and nutrition while continuing to practice and build her knowledge in the study of Pilates and the anatomy of movement. April currently lives in Boulder with her two daughters, Makena, age 13 and Melia, age 11, and dog, Luna.

Jodi Brinkman
Jodi is originally from Buffalo New York. Early on she recognized her love of singing and the stage. She completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre and has worked as a professional singer/actress since 2002, in Denver, New York, and Cleveland. Aerobic, yoga, and weight training were always a permanent fixture in her life, but never did movement make more sense to her than when she began taking and mastering the art of the classical mat work. Her final decision to change her life and become certified was the moment she laid down on a reformer for the first time, where she quickly began to understand her own body, both on stage and in life. She studied under Balanced BodyÕs Master Instructor and 2nd generation teacher Troy McCarty, owner of ClevelandÕs renowned White Cloud Studios. After becoming certified, Jodi helped develop a full reformer studio at the Jewish Community Center of Cleveland and went from 1 student to a full 35 hour/week class schedule for the next 3 years. However, with the mountains calling her, Jodi said good-bye to her beloved clients of Cleveland and relocated back to Denver in late 2010. She enjoys working with all different varieties of bodies in front of her, from pre to post-natal, seniors and trained athletes. Through her own practice of the classical and contemporary exercises developed by 1st and 2nd generation teachers, she has opened up a world of strength and length for both herself as well as her clients. With consistent practice her clients have been able to discover more intelligent ways in which to move through their daily lives. Look for Jodi on stage in Denver this spring, and hopefully more in the future!
