Joseph Pilates said that the first thing we must learn to do well is breathe, yet sometimes its the last thing we learn to do well. Do you find yourself short of breath, out of breath, or completely unaware of your breath? The single most effective way to strengthen our core is through effective breathing. In addition, effective breathing supports good posture and helps to release tension and stress. In this workshop we will learn techniques and apply them to Pilates exercises to encourage our core muscles to work optimally.
Pilates for Golf

Learn the secrets of Golf Fitness Training and discover how Pilates can benefit your golf experience, by developing your "core" to provide a more consistent and powerful swing. Join Golf Pro Tom Chicovsky and Evergreen Pilates owner Lauri Stricker for this workshop. Tom played golf professionally beginning in 1989 and became a teaching pro in 1994. He has co- author of two golf books. Tom spent five seasons traveling in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland teaching members f the Scandinavian PGA's. In addition, Tom has 10 years of Pilates training, and has worked with 15 touring. professionals. Lauri Stricker is the author of the book, Pilates for the Outdoor Athlete.
