In addition, you'll learn about healthy food choices and strategies for planning ahead to create and maintain a satisfying, healthy diet.

Explore techniques to relieve stress and tension in the head, jaw, and neck with Feldenkrais practitioner Shannon Kolman. Feldenkrais is a movement therapy that enhances all of your movement by finding new ways to organize your nervous system and body, through directed attention, awareness, and gentle movements, to find easier ways to move/act.

Shannon Kolman

Shannon Kolman, owner of A Sense of Self, is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner with the Feldenkrais Guild® of North America, and holds a Master Degree in Business.

Shannon has studied the Feldenkrais Method for over ten years and offers a wealth of experience in chronic pain recovery and functional performance improvement. In her quest to recover from her own injuries and chronic pain she has developed a skill for working with people who have pain and/or movement limitations, or those wish to perform better in any activity.

In addition, Shannon is an avid athlete, excelling in technical rock climbing, skiing, and cycling. She brings her ability to organize the movement, mental clarity, and creativity necessary in her activities to her work; helping people improve their daily life, hobbies, sports, and careers.

She teaches Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement® and Functional Integration® in private settings, classes, and workshops in Denver and Golden, Colorado.

The Feldenkrais Method

The Feldenkrais Method uses gentle movement and directed attention to improve our ability to move and function.

Habits and compensations from traumas, illnesses, occupations, recreations, and thoughts can become ingrained in our movement and cause stress on joints, muscles, and tissues

Shannon can help you learn to recognize movement patterns and habits that limit your potential, and how to develop more balanced ways of moving and living.

Awareness Through Movement® Classes
Shannon will verbally guide you through a sequence of gentle movements that develop self-awareness, flexibility, coordination, strength, and stress relief. Offered in classes, workshops, recordings, and privately.

Private Functional Integration® Sessions
One-on-one sessions focus on your specific goals. Shannon uses gentle touch, movements, and words to guide you through a lesson designed to meet your personal needs. This process helps to create personal breakthroughs.
